Answer»

A railway train is travelling on a circular curve of 1500m radius at the rate of 60 km/hr.Through what angle has it turned in 10 seconds.

Radius of the track (r) = 1500 m

Speed of the train = 60*1000/3600 = 50/3 m/s

So, circumference of the path

= 2(22/7)(1500)

= 66000/7 m

So, distance travelled in 10 sec.

= 10 (50/3) m

= 500/3 m

So, angular displacement is

¤ = l/r

= (500/3) / 1500

= 1/9
