1.

(i) Why is the motion of a body moving with a constant speed around a circular path said to be accelerated ?(ii) Name the unit of physical quantity obtained by the formula  2K/V 2 . Where K : kinetic energy, V : Linear velocity.

Answer»

(i) In circular motion with constant speed linear velocity changes in terms of direction therefore it is accelerated motion.

(ii) We know that kinetic energy K.E. = 1 /2mv

2k/v2 ( 1/2 mV2)V2=m(mass)

Physical quantity is 'mass'.
