Identify the correct order for the voltage transformation for the three-phase transformers.(a) D-Y > D-D = Y-Y > Y-D(b) D-Y > D-D > Y-Y > Y-D(c) D-Y > D-D = Y-Y < Y-D(d) D-Y > D-D < Y-Y < Y-DI had been asked this question by my school teacher while I was bunking the class.I'm obligated to ask this question of Parallel Operation of Single Phase Transformers topic in division Transformers of Electrical Machines

Answer»

Right OPTION is (a) D-Y > D-D = Y-Y > Y-D

To explain: DELTA to STAR has maximum(173%) VOLTAGE transformation while star to delta is least(57%). Y-Y and D-D have DEVIATION of voltage levels.
