Put y = 2 in the given polynomial. 

∴ p(2) = 2(2)3 – 6(2)2 – 5(2) + 7

= 2 x 8 – 6 x 4 – 10 + 7 

 16 – 24 – 10 + 7 

∴ P(2) = -11
