1.

If the median of scores \(\frac{x}{2},\) \(\frac{x}{3},\) \(\frac{x}{4},\) \(\frac{x}{5}\) and \(\frac{x}{6}\) (where x > 0) is 6, then find the value of \(\frac{x}{6}.\)

Answer»

We know,

Median \(=\frac{n + 1}{2}\) term

 \(=\frac{5 + 1}{2}\) term

= 3rd term

Therefore, \(\frac{x}{4}=6\)

x = 24

Hence, \(\frac{x}{6}=\frac{24}{6}\)

= 4
