Answer» Let their monthly incomes are 3x and 4x and their expenditure are 3x – 2000 and 4x – 2000 Given difference of their squares is \(\frac{3x - 2000}{4x - 2000}\) = \(\frac{1}{2}\) 6x – 4000 = 4x – 2000 ⇒ 2x = 2000 ⇒ x = 1000 The monthly income of A = 3x = 3 × 1000 = 3000 The monthly income of B = 4x = 4 x 1000 = 4000 |
