Answer» Because of rotation we experience day and night. If the earth doesn’t rotate there would be no day and night. The eastern hemisphere is always in the day and the western hemisphere is always in the night. The eastern hemisphere is hot as it experiences always day and cold in the western hemisphere. So it would make the planet uninhabitable.
