Let f(x) = x⁵ – 9x² + 12x – 14

f(x) is divisible by (x – 3) so remainder = f(3).

∴ f(3) = (3)⁵ – 9(3)² + 12(3) – 14 = 243 – 81 + 36 – 14 = 184.
