Iftwo circular discs of same weight and thickness are made from metals having different densities, which disc will have large MI about its central axis? |
|
Answer» Solution :The MI of circulardisc I = `1/2MR^2`, and its MASS M=`piR^2 times dx times RHO`, where R=radius, dx= thickness and `rho` = DENSITY. As M and dx are same , DISC with smaller density will have LARGER R and hence larger MI. |
