The economic policies made by the Britishers did not have the objective of economic development of India, instead, they were protecting and enhancing the economic interest of their native country England with the help of these policies. 2. The Indian handicraft was based on old traditional techniques, which caused a huge expense on inputs. 3. The goods coming from England were made by machines, therefore they were attractive, and the expenses incurred were also less.
