In figure, find ∠x, ∠y and ∠ACD where line BA || FE.

∠x = 42° (alternate angle)

∠ACD = ∠x + 66° (ext. angle is equal to sum of opposite interior angles)

∠ACD = 42° + 66° = 108°

But ∠y + ∠ACD = 180°

∠y = 180° – 108° (linear pair axiom)

∠y = 72°

∠x = 42° and ∠y = 72°
