According to the national sample survey report( 2011-12) the workplace participating rate if male is 54.4% and the female is 21.9% during 2011-12 INCREASE 19.3% which is higher than 18.6% REPORTED by NSSP in 2009-10.


Steps taken by the government :

1) working WOMEN for ensuring safe accommodation for working women away from their residence.

2) Rashtriya MAHILA kosh to provide micro finance service to bring about the socio-economic upliftment of poor women.

3) Scheme for universalisation of women helpline intended to provide 24 hours immediate and emergency response to women affected by violence.
