This phenomenon is called electromagnetic induction. The law used to know the direction of current in the device is called flemmings Right Hand Rule. Flemmings right hand rule states that Stretch the thumb, forefinger and middle finger of right hand so that they are perpendicular to each other, if the forefinger indicates the direction of the magnetic field and the thumb shows he direction of motion of the conductor then the middle finger will show the direction of induced current. |
