If QP || ST and QT is a transversal, then ∠PQR = ∠STU [alternate interior angles]

and if DS || RP and QT is a transversal, then ∠PRQ = ∠SUT [alternate interior angles]

Hence, ∠S must be equal to ∠Pi.e. 90°.
