From the figure,

∠PBC = ∠A + ∠ACB

∠QCB = ∠A + ∠ABC

Given that ∠PBC < ∠QCB

⇒∠A + ∠ACB < ∠A + ∠ABC

⇒ ∠ACB < ∠ABC

⇒ AB < AC

⇒ AC > AB

Hence proved.
