Answer» Chronic Jaundice is not a disease, but rather a sign that can occur in many different diseases that affect the liver like hepatitis and liver cancer. The liver usually processes a yellow coloured chemical (bilirubin) as a waste product, but when the liver is damaged, it is unable to do its normal job.
