Answer» Recently there had been quite a few incidents and politics on statues and memorials. But still, I feel they should be there for the following reasons: 1. Statues are raised in memory of those people who had contributed for the welfare of the society. 2. Memorials are raised of events which are inspirational. 3. A Memorial is a testimony of the work done, in adverse conditions. Statues give us inspiration to have ideal morals. 4. They are testimonials of our rich heritage and as heirs what have we inherited. 5. They need not be raised in large numbers nor should there be statues of common people and of criminals.
