| Answer» The temperature scales of celsius and fahrenheit are not absolute scales. By absolute we mean that they start at some reference point (freezing point of water). Hence, they are considered random scales. So, we associate a degree symbol with random scales. Similar is done with angles. On the other hand, kelvin scale is the absolute scale of temperature. It has a perfect origin. There is no temperature below the zero kelvin temperature. Hence, there is no degree symbol associated with it. | |
