2. Explain with reason:

  • Energy of incident photon is inversely proportional to its wavelength. Since λ of green light is less than that of yellow, it has larger energy. So it can emit photo electrons 
  • As the wavelength decreases, frequency and hence energy of incident radiation increases and hence kinetic energy of photo electrons increases.
