Following are the two measures in order to keep the food safe from contamination;

  1. Usage of washed utensils: It is very important to wash every utensil you used before touching the food. It may carry some excretions of animals or disease PRONE dust particles which may get mixed with food and ingested by you.
  2. Cover the food: Do not FORGET to cover the food when it is resting. Any thing can get mixed with it. Specially flies and other flying insects may cause it to become infected and END up causing you illness.
