Answer» Precautions : (i) A fuse of appropriate rating should be used in the circuit. (ii) Too many appliances should never be connected to a single socket. Overloading: Occurs when a large number of higher current drawing appliances are switched on at the same time and the total current is drawn through the circuit exceeds its rated value. Short-circuiting: Occurs when the live wire comes in direct contact with neutral wire. |
