It is important as it ensures proper functioning at village levels, state levels and national levels. 2. Separation of Powers: According to the Constitution of India, there are three levels of government. These are the judiciary, the executive and the LEGISLATURE. The legislature refers to our elected representatives, the judiciary is is the system of courts in our country and executive is a smaller group of people who are responsible for implementing laws and RUNNING the government. 3. It MEANS that the executive branch of government is held accountable to the legislative branch. 4. The section of fundamental rights has often been referred to as the 'conscience' of the Constitution.
