Answer» Bhagwat Singh Ji and his wife treated the maids as their own children. They fulfilled their needs and held a protecting hand over their heads. The result was that they were attached to the interest of the haveli physically, emotionally and mentally. In the hour of need none of them shirked work. If a relative uttered even a word against the mistress, they felt bad. They were always ready to work from dawn to dusk. भगवत सिंह जी और उसकी पत्नी सेविकाओं को अपने बच्चों की तरह समझते थे। वे उनकी जरूरतों को पूरा करते थे और उनके सर पर एक सुरक्षा प्रदान करने वाला हाथ रखते थे। परिणाम यह होता था कि वे हवेली के हित से शारीरिक, मानसिक और भावनात्मक ढंग से जुड़ी रहती थीं। जरूरत के समय कोई भी काम से जी नहीं चुराती थीं। यदि मालकिन के खिलाफ कोई एक शब्द भी कह देता था तो उन्हें चुभन महसूस होती थी। वे सदैव सुबह से शाम तक काम करने को तैयार रहती थीं। |
