Many rulers were patrons of Islam and the ulama - learned theologians and jurists. And like Hinduism, Islam was interpreted in variety of ways by its followers. Answer» a) ulamas are the muslim persons STUDY the religion islam and its LAWS thoroughlý and have much more knowledge of islam. These are like the "Pandits" of HINDU religion. c) MANY years after prophet Mohammed (S.A.W) died, the believers of islam started practising their religion on the bases of principles written by many "Imams" such as Imam Abu-Hanifa R.A, Imam Ahmad bin Hanmbal R.A. etc. they had gathered knowledge from different sources that were directly linked with Prophet MUHAMMAD (S.A.W). So due to various imams their are found variety of Muslim followers. |
