Given :

\(\lambda^0_{Mg^{2+}}\)= 105.8 Ω-1 cm2 mol-1

\(\lambda^0_{Br^-}\) = 78.2 Ω-1 cm2 mol-1

\(∧_{0(MgBr_2)}\) = ?

By Kohlrausch’s law,

\(∧_{0(MgBr_2)}\) =  \(\lambda^0_{Mg^{2+}}\) + \(2\lambda^0_{Br^-}\)

= 105.8 + 2 × 78.2 

= 105.8 + 156.4

= 262.2 Ω-1 cm2 mol-1

∴ Molar conductivity of MgBr2 at zero concentration = \(∧_{0(MgBr_2)}\) 

= 262.2 Ω-1 cm2 mol-1
