Answer» The inner glandular wall of the uterus is known as endometrium.
Role (i) During the menstrual cycle, the endometrium wall grows into a thick, blood vessel-rich, glandular laye. This condition of the endomentrium favors the implantation of the foetus.If fertilisation does not occur, the endometrum is sehd during hemorrhagic phase of the menstrual cycle.
ii) The middle wall of the uterus is known as myometrium. It consists of smooth muscles. It brings about contraction while delivery of the baby.
