Answer» Microbial fermentation plays a big role in the production of vitamin C or ascorbic acid. The microbes that help in doing the same are bacteria, fungi and yeasts. There are other vitamin-like and vitamin compounds like vitamin B2, D2 or ergocalciferol, B12, EFA’s, PQQ or pyrroloquinoline, K2 or menaquinone and ubiquinone or coenzyme Q10 which are produced through microbial fermentation.
