Leaching is a process in which the nutrients of the soil get percolated down below the soil due to heavy rainfall, leaving behind the top soil infertile. Laterite soils are ‘In situ’ and the climatic condition responsible for it is high temperature and heavy rainfall with alternate dry and wet period. |
