Answer» Innate immunity is present at the time of birth. This is accomplished by providing different types of barriers to the entry of the foreign agents into our body. It consists of four type of barriers: 1. Physical barrier - Skin and mucus 2. Physiological barrier - Acid in the stomach, saliva in the mouth and tears. 3. Cellular barrier - Neutrophils and macrophages. 4. Cytokine barrier - Interferons. |
