1.	Name two synthetic auxins. How are they applied in agriculture ?
Answer» The two synthetic auxins are- (i) Indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) and (ii) 2, 4-dichlorophenoxy acetic acid (2, 4-D). Indole-3-butyric acid is used to induce formation of roots on cuttings of many ornamental, horticultural and forest trees. 2, 4-D is used as weedicide.
