Answer» ABSORB water from the soil and release it in the form of water vapour throgh the PROCESS of TRANSPIRATION . Deforestation leads to CUTTING down of the trees . As a result less water is absorbed from the soil. This disturbs the water cycle and leads to reduced RAINFALL.
