Wheat, rice, cotton, groundnut and similar other crops are producedthrough cultivation by those engaged in agriculture. The consumer goods like cloth,sugar, electric bulbs, soaps, radio sets, televisions, cycles, cars etc. are produced bythose engaged in industries. The activities of teachers, doctors, lawyers and othersalso satisfy specific human wants. The traders, are helpful in these productiveactivities also produce service. No productive activity is possible in absence of lawand order. That is why government provides police and judicial services. Suchactivities are called services.​
