On what the value of surface tension depends ? |

Answer» SOLUTION :The VALUE of surface tension depend on the TEMPERATURE. At critical temperature its value is zero. Critical temperature of water is `37.4^(@)C`. Like viscosity surface tension of LIQUID decreases with temperature. Surface tension of some liquids at the temperature indicated with the HEATS of the vaporisation are shown in table below :
