Answer» (a) Regeneration is not the same as reproduction, as regeneration is a mode of asexual reproduction. Also in regeneration, in certain organisms, not the whole organism, but only a part of the organism is regenerated (Example, the tail of a lizard can be regenerated). On the contrary, reproduction involves the formation of an entirely new organism.
