ORAta Ramzan Mela, a stall keeper in one of the food stalls has a largewindrical vessel of base radius 15 cm filled up to a height of 32 cm withorange juice. The juice is filled in small cylindrical glasses(see in figure ofradius 3 cm up to a height of 8 cm, and sold for Rs 3 each. How much moneydoes the stall keeper receive by selling the juice completely?

Answer»

Total volume of orange juice = volume of cylindrical vessel=pi * r^2 * h= 22/7 * 15^2 * 32= 22*225*32/7 cm^3= 22628.57cm^3

volume of orange juice in 1 glass= 22/7 * 3^2 * 8cm= 22*9*8/7 cm^3= 226.29 cm^3

No. of glasses = total volume of orange juice/volume of juice in 1 glass= 22628.57 cm^3/226.29 cm^3= 100 glasses

Therefore, Money stall keeper receive by selling the juice= 100*3= Rs 300
