Plz explain Hydration enthalpy.....in easy way....???

Answer» Amount of energy required to 1 mole of ion with water
Thanks .....
The heat energy released when new bonds are made between the ions and water molecules is known as the hydration enthalpy of the ion. The hydration enthalpy is the enthalpy change when 1 mole of gaseous ions dissolve in sufficient water to give an infinitely dilute solution. Hydration enthalpies are always negative. Hope this will help u yakshi ?
Well it the amount of energy released when 1mole of gaseous ions combine with water to form hydrated ions...the hydration enthalpies of alkaline earth metal ions are larger than those of alkali earth metal ion.. ✌️
The change in enthalpy (the amount of heat released) when one mole of gaseous ions form hydrated ions under standard conditions is called hydration enthalpy.
