1.

Prove that the vectors(i - 2j + 5k) and vector(-2i + 4j + 2k) are mutually perpendicular.

Answer»

Let vector a = vector(i - 2j + 5k) and vector b = vector(-2i + 4j + 2k)

∴ vector(a.b) = vector(i - 2j + 5k), vector(-2i + 4j + 2k) = -2 - 8 + 10 = 0

Hence the given vectors be perpendicular to each other
