Answer» Quarks having the fractional charges are thought to be confined within a proton or a neutron only. These quarks are bound by forces, which grow stronger, if they are tried to be pulled apart. Thus, the quarks always remain together. It follows that though fractional v charges exist in nature, the observable charges are always integral multiples of e. |
