While female flowers possess pistil or they possess pistil. Fertilisation is necessary to produce fruits and seeds which can be possible in presence of male and female flowers. While if plant is dioeciacs, following circumstances can be possible (i) If the plant is dioecious and bear flowers having only pistil then fertilisation can be possible by pollenating agents. (ii) If the plant is dioecious and bear flowers having only stamens then fertilisation is not possible because female gamete is immotile. Which can not reach towards male gamete so syngamy is not possible. When plant is monocieous means both Adrocium and Gynoecium both together then only self fertilisation (AUTOGAMY) and PRODUCTION of seed can be possible
