(b) (i) Synergids : Synergids have special cellular thickenings at the MICROPYLAR tip called FILIFORM apparatus which plays an important ROLE in guiding the pollen tube into the SYNERGID.
(b) Micropyle : It helps pollen tube to enter the ovule and then enters one of the synergids through the filiform apparatus.
