Question : At the end of repolarization, the nerve membrane gets hyperpplarized. Why ?

Answer»

Solution :At the end of repolarization, the membrane potential inside the axolemma becomes NEGATIVE due to the efflux of `K^+` IONS. When it becomes more negative than the resting potential -70 MV to about - 90mV, it becomes hyperpolarised.
