But they absorb solar ENERGY and CONCENTRATE it TOWARDS chlorophyll-a. Chlorophyll-a absorts maximum radiation of blue and red colour so it is called a main PIGMENT while chlorophyll-b, Xanthophyll and carotenoids are called accessory pigments.
