Answer» SOLUTION :Centrosome is an ORGANELLE usually containing two cylindrical structures called centrioles. They are surrounded by amorphous pericentriolar materials. Both the centrioles in a centrosome lie perpendicular to each other in which each has an organisation like the CARTWHEEL![]() Each centrioles is made up of nine evenly spaced peripheral fibrils. That is absent in centre. So this structure is called 9 + 0. Each of the fibre has 3 sub unit (Triplet) Centrioles forms the basal body of cilia and flagella. It forms spindle fibres in animals that GIVE rise to spindle apparatus during CELL division. |
