(1) Retrotransposons: The transposons which always WORK With RNA intern1ediate are called retrotransposons. They bring about copy and paste mechanism.
(2) DNA transposons : The transposons that do not work with RNA intemediates are called DNA transposons. They bring about cut and paste mechanism.
