Solution :• (a) Hibernation and Aestivation : Hibernation is the stage of dormancy in WINTER, while aestivation is the stage of dormancy in summer. MANY animals USE this technique to tide over unfavourable environmental conditions.
• (b) Ectotherms and Endotherms : Ectotherms are cold blooded animals with body temperature MATCHING the environmental temperature, while endotherms are warm-blooded animals which can regulate their body temperature by physiological means and maintain more or less CONSTANT internal temperature.
