Question : Nucleic acids exhibit secondary structure, justify with example.

Answer»

Solution :Nucleic acids are polymeric macromolecules, which is ESSENTIAL for the origin of life. Secondary structure of a nucleic acid links one molecule or group of MOLECULES participating in the process. DNA and RNA are MAIN nucleic acids but they have difference in their secondary structures differ E.g., secondary structure of DNA two complementary poly deoxy ribose, spirally twins on common axis to FORM helical structure. This double spiral structure is stabalised by phosphodiester bond e. g. hydrogen and ionic reactions..
