These is diversity found in thei PHOTOSYNTHETIC pigments which can absorb light of various wave lenghts and can perform photo synthesis. e.g, : algae (GREEN Algae) Chlorophyll-a (red light is absorbed) and Chlorophyll-b (absorbs violet light) BROWN Algae : Chlorophyll-a, c and Fucoxanthin (absorbs yellow light). Red algae : Chlorophyll-d and phycoerythrin.
