Answer» SOLUTION :(a) Phase wise/step wise oxidation breakdown : Respiration is a phase wise/step wise oxidation of ORGANICSUBSTANCE. In whichthree main phases are included. (i) Glycolysis (ii) Krabes. cycle (iii)electron transportsystem . Glucose passes from phase wise catalysed enzymatic processes and at the end forms `H_(2) O + ATP + CO_(2)` (b) Organic substances : It is normally FOUNDIN livingsystem. Theyare generally in carbon atom.s ring formor in long chain form . Hydrogen, Oxygen and Nitrogenatoms are joinedwith it. eg. Glucose , Fatty acid, Amino acid etc. These substances are combusted and energy is produced. The respiration of glucose and fatty acid is called FLOATING respiration while of Amino acid is called protoplasmic respiration. |
