Question : State two economically important uses of archaebacteria

Answer»

Solution :Archaebacteria : Methanogens are strict ANAEROBES. They are responsible for the production of METHANE in BIOGAS FERMENTERS. About 65% of the methane found in our atmosphere is produced by these archaea. Besides, methanogens are present in the gut of several ruminant animals such as cows and BUFFALOES and they are responsible for the production of biogas (methanefrom the dung of these animals).
