| Answer» Solution :The loss of water in the form of vapours from the aerial parts of plants is known as TRANSPIRATION WHEREAS exudation of water drops from the edges or tips of leaves is known as guttation. The water that escapes in the transpiration is pure. Whereas the water that escapes in guttation CONTAINS minerals in solution. Transpiration keeps the plant cool by dissipating excess heat ABSORBED from SUNLIGHT whereas the guttation has no such effect. | |
